Before turning my writing skills into journalism I made my way in the world as a performer, mixing voice, music, poetry and monolgue and creating one-woman shows that I took across North America and parts of Europe.

One of my favourite performances is "Skinned Needs". Five years after touring with "Skinned Needs" I used an excerpt from it for a radio piece about Natioanl Poetry Month. The excerpt is called "Read To Me" and was broadcast on CBC's "Breakaway", hosted by Jacquie Czernin.

Story-telling is an enduring tradition in Quebec. Raconteurs enthrall listeners for hours with their contes and legends. Actor Elizabeth Robertson decided to extend the french tradition by producing a series of evenings with english writers sharing their own urban tales about the cities they live in.

In my case the city was Quebec City. A city of many sounds, I decided to weave a tale of the city's musiciality. The result is: "Sounds Like". Here it is performed live in a desacrilized chapel in the heart of Vieux Quebec
